WEEK 8 GAMES

Posted Wed Jun 15, 2011 - 07:08 PM

Due to trouble rescheduling the games this week to Saturday, we will be playing on FRIDAY, JUNE 17TH.
Timings for the games are still to be determined and we will update you all shortly.

UPDATES: Week 7

Posted Thu Jun 09, 2011 - 09:27 AM

Just a reminder that this week we will be playing WEEK 7 GAMES as per the schedule. The games that were postponed last week will be replayed at a later date AFTER Week 12.

Also, there is a mosque program on Friday night NEXT WEEK, so we will most probably move Week 8 games to Saturday night. We will keep you posted closer to the date.

Lastly, since we did not play Week 6 games last week, the trade deadline has been moved to June 16th at midnight (before next Week 8 games).

IMPORTANT: Mosque Program

Posted Wed Jun 01, 2011 - 08:39 PM

As we all know, we might have a conflict this Friday with the mosque program. As such, whether or not there will be games this Friday depends on whether the program is on Friday or Saturday; based on moon sighting. IF the program is on Friday, hockey will be cancelled for this week.

If a cancellation must occur, the game may be rescheduled to a later date.

Abbas Panju Guarantees First-Place

Posted Fri May 20, 2011 - 10:05 AM

Masumeen captain Abbas Panju dropped a bombshell to reporters at a press conference this afternoon when he proclaimed that "bottom line, (Ansar) will not be winning this evening." Members of many highly-respected media outlets were aghast at this statement of bravado and sheer confidence, and quicky directed their mikes to the only Ansar player present at the conference, Muhammad Kara. Muhammad had only one line for his reponse, which was directed back at Abbas as he said "yes Abbas, you have lots of bottom lines but unfortunately no top line." There was a moment of stunned silence before a chorus of applause and laughter broke out amongst the assembled reporters. The press conference was over, and now tonight's Ansar-Masumeen clash suddenly becomes the can't-miss TV spectacle of this long weekend.
